Second Income

Side income is a favorite theme of all financial books. Traditionally, working women hold two jobs and get paid for one. The other one is supposedly her duty. On top of that, how do you work to create a second source of income? If you are earning well, is there a need for it?

Irrespective of your position in a company, you can be fired. An employee is always dispensable. Or an accident may render you unable to work. Having a side income is your safety net. From personal experience, the second source of income wouldn’t be as great or consistent unless you put in the initial work. But wherever you decide to put in the work, money is coming to your bank account.

Decide

The major step in creating a second source of income is to decide first. Decide that you will bring in money. Then look at what you can offer. May be you are a good painter or a writer, or cook, or manage events well, or has a natural talent with kids, or has magic to grow plants, or can do amazing makeup. In today’s world, what was previously considered as soft skills has got a huge market. With internet connection, the possibilities are endless. If you can create a blog or vlog in the internet and post quality updates consistently, you can create your niche audience. Once internet niche is established, slowly…
